A brow lift is considered for
drooping brows if blepharoplasty won't give the desired outcome.
It may improve the horizontal creases and deep furrows that make
one look angry.
In a forehead lift, muscle and
tissue is severed or removed to create a smooth forehead, raise
the eyebrows and minimize frown lines. In the typical surgical method
the incision is hidden just behind the hairline. Sometimes it may
be placed right at the hairline.
Rarely, the nerves that control
eyebrow movement may be injured on one or both sides causing inability
to raise one's eyebrows or wrinkle the forehead. Additional surgery
can correct the problem.
A brow lift is often not the
first choice for younger women. Botox injections may give you the
same result as a temporary solution.
